Add this to the list of things that really piss me off.

Short version: Roughy and Mrs. Roughy of Unrealistic Expetations were supposed to join a certain Space Nerd for the big Breast Cancer Walk in California.

Now, even though they're not that far under the target amount they need and have already bought the tickets, they have been told that they cannot walk.

In other words, even though they've given money, and others have given money to them so that they can walk, they can't.

I'm sorry, but that's bullshit. Yes, I realize that some of this was in the terms of agreement, but the terms of agreement in this case are asinine.

Anyway, read more about it here, where you can also send an angry email to those in charge...and please do. This is not what The Walk is supposed to be about.

In other news, there are some shows in Madison this week you may want to check out:

Short Stack: Dance Of The Alien. An after-hours show, this is an anthology of short plays by myself, Lisa Konoplisky, Doug Reed, Meredith Berlin, and Phil Heckman. It's one hour and it's directed by Deanna Reed. The main character is inspired by (and named after) Russ, and the other characters are inspired by Marti Noxon and Joss Whedon. Just so you know.

The View From Dunham's Bluff. Written by Philip Heckman, directed by Betty Diamond, just the fact that Phil wrote it is a reason for you to go. He's the best writer of dialogue I know. This is also an after-hours show.

Fuddy Meers is directed by my friend Stephen Montagna, and written by some guy I don't know (David Lindsay-Abaire). The show is quite good, I hear, so go go go.
